The PTA brought in food for us to eat today, in addition to a wonderful gift of backpacks. We want to thank all the parents and the parent group that donated to this great gift. We love our community and it's members. You Rock!!!!!!!!!!

The 2022-2023 school year has been so much fun for the Junior High Library. So far, 6th graders are in the lead for most books checked-out but 7th graders are catching up! Students are enjoying the Christmas season with fun children's Christmas books and helping decorate the library.
The best Christmas present for our library was being awarded a grant from the Idaho Education Technology Association (IETA) to add to our technology/makerspace area for student's use. We are so grateful to be selected and are excited for the projects the grant allows us to pursue. Thank you IETA!
The Junior High Library wishes all a Merry Christmas and we are so excited for this coming year!

Mrs Thomas' Ag class today is making Bread in a Bag. The kids are having fun and the school spells like homemade bread. Wow.

Today the kid had their first meeting about Ski Club. They were sent home with permission slips and information. The dates of Ski Club ski trips are January 18th, 25th & February 1, and 8th. We may not be able to talk all kids so right now we are limiting it to the first 50 kids with permission slips and paying their bus fee of $30. All other fees will be paid for to Kelly Canyon. More information will follow.

I wanted to posted another few pictures of the 7th grade Field Trip with a very special thanks to the Parents and other adults that went with us. They made it very enjoyable. We have 16 extra adults go with us to help make things fun for everyone. Thank you.

For Students of SFJH
Come join us and audition for the South Fremont Junior High Musical: Willy Wonka Jr! It is going to be a sweet time!
You need a 30 second song prepared to sing. I prefer when you with a karaoke track. (I will provide a speaker.)

During the 7th Grade Field trip we were able to visit College of Easter Idaho, Doug Andrus Trucking, and the Eastern Idaho Aquarium. It was a great day of learning. We want to thank the college and Doug Andrus trucking for the great presentations they did and the treats that were provided.

We had Delta Dental come in to provide free services for our students. Delta Dental wanted to thank us for doing this for the students. We want to thank them, they did all the work. They saw 74 kids and placed 731 sealants, doing $27,000 of free dentistry.

WINTER WEATHER. It looks like our extended fall is finally over, and winter weather has arrived. Here are a couple of reminders to help keep our students safe and warm this winter. Send your student to school with a warm coat and appropriate shoes. Make sure that the school has your current phone number and email address. If there is a school closure, we will be sending notices via phone call, text message, email, notifications on the district app, Facebook, and local media. We will do our best to let you know far enough in advance to make any necessary arrangements for your students. Thank you for your support, and enjoy the winter!

Today in 6th grade science the kids are learning about volume and how to combine colors. The also used the science tools to start understanding how to use the lab. We also got one of our great paras in the picture. Thanks Mrs Worrell (Para) and Mrs Porter (Teacher).

The 7th Grade life science students used their knowledge of cells and organelles to make a model of a plant or animal cell using a sugar cookie! Scientists often use modes to represent things that are too small or too large to see. It was a delicious and creative way to review the parts of the cell!

This morning the City Police and Sheriff's department helped the Student Council with a pancake breakfast. They made pancakes to surprise the students with a yummy treat. We want to thank our local officers for their help. Great job Student Council.
