Congrats to our Students of the Month!
Greyson does a great job checking in and making sure he stays on top of his work and responsibilities. He keeps a positive attitude and is always willing to help others, often offering help without being asked. His fun, upbeat personality creates a positive environment, and he is someone others enjoy being around and working with.

Hank is always cheerful and brings a positive attitude to everything he does. He is willing to help with any task, even extra ones, and often offers his help without being asked. Hank is ready to work on whatever is needed and is dependable, which makes him a great student and a positive presence in the classroom.

Miri is always happy and brings a positive attitude wherever she goes. She is kind to everyone and makes an effort to include others, always being a friendly and welcoming presence. Miri is also very creative and enjoys sharing her ideas, which makes her a fun and inspiring person to be around.

The Idaho Esports League does not currently differentiate Varsity and Junior Varsity. When we created the two teams, we were warned that they might actually have to compete with each other during the season. That day has come upon us and today our Varsity team will be playing our JV team. Although they are categorized as Varsity and JV, they are fairly close in skill and it will be an exciting game. We are cheering for both and wish them the best of luck!

Today we’re celebrating SRO Day and giving a big thank-you to Officer Kaaiakamanu for the positive impact she has on our school community. Our students love and trust her as a resource for help. Our students and faculty recognize and appreciate everything she does for the school. Thanks for being such an amazing part of the team and friend to our students!

Students in the SFJH Tech Club had the opportunity to create and deliver Valentines to residents at The Homestead. They shared some wonderful moments together, and there were even a few happy tears along the way. We want to thank The Homestead for hosting us and call out Bailey Roundy for guiding and introducing us to all the wonderful residents!

We kicked off Hope Week in the best way! While our school dressed up for wacky outfit day, Nate Eaton from East Idaho News came and delivered an incredible presentation all about HOPE and what it really means to be cool-staying Humble, being Optimistic, being Purposeful and Encouraging others. Such an inspiring start to the week.

We are excited to see the school dressed up in neon and lights Tuesday to "Light the Darkness"!

SFJH is so proud of two of our Tech Club students who participated in the Invention Convention in Pocatello this Saturday! Tech Club is an open time during lunch/advisory for students to come to the hackerspace/makerspace and participate in different challenges to learn new skills and technology.

Boyce Parker and Lottie Frandsen took the opportunity to register with Invent Idaho, design a working model, build it, keep an inventors journal, and display it at the convention to be judged. Both worked so hard on their models.

Congratulations to Boyce for winning first place in his category and qualifying for state in Moscow, ID in May!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month!

Bronson is a quiet and respectful student who always stays focused and on task. When he shares his ideas, his answers are thoughtful and show how well he listens and understands the lesson. He never disrupts class, is always punctual, and his positive attitude makes him a great example for others.

Tenley is always willing to help others and does the right thing, even when those around her may not be. She follows the rules and sets a great example for those around her. Tenley also has a positive attitude and is great at finding the good in any situation.

Sophia is a quiet but very sweet student who genuinely wants to help others. She works quickly and always does her best to get her work done. Sophia comes to class with a smile every day, and her kindness and positive attitude make the classroom a better place.

Our school really exemplified the Christmas Spirit this year and it showed through students creative decorating of their advisory Christmas trees. Each tree is based off a Christmas movie. Take a look and tell us your favorites!
