FREE OR REDUCED LUNCH ELIGIBILITY. For up to 30 operating days into the new school year (or until a new eligibility determination is made, whichever comes first) an individual child’s free or reduced price eligibility status from the previous year will continue.
This temporary eligibility will expire end of day October 22, 2024.
If you have NOT already submitted an application for the 2024-2025 school year, please submit one immediately. This will prevent a lapse in your child's eligibility when we return to our regular National School Lunch Program. (If you have already submitted an application please disregard this notice)
To apply online visit the school district website at www.sd215.net - Child Nutrition, or visit www.myschoolapps.com. Or you can pick up a Meal Application from the school office, fill it out completely, and return it to the cafeteria manager or district office.
If a new application is not received at least 5 school days prior to the termination date, the child's account may be charged full price for the meals after the termination date until the new application is processed.
If you are not sure if an application has been completed for this current school year, please call Judy Oliphant at 208-624-7542.

There will be NO SCHOOL September 30th - October 11th due to Harvest Break.

THANK YOU to all of the First Responders for welcoming our students this morning! We appreciate everything they do for our community!

We just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow morning First Responders will be greeting our students as they enter the school. Please do not be concerned if you see emergency vehicles.

The sandwich option offered at lunch will be not be a PB&J for the rest of the week. The sandwich option will either be a ham or turkey sandwich.

Friday, September 13th will be an early release school day. Please plan to have your student attend. School will be released at 1:45 on this day.

"Start With Hello" week will be next week at HFE. Please see the attached flyer and encourage your kids to wear the corresponding colors!

Just a reminder if you drop off or pick up your students please do so in front of the school and not in the parking lot between the Elementary and Junior High. This parking lot is reserved for buses and their loading/unloading. Thank you for your help in providing a safe experience for your students.

Henry's Fork Elementary would like to thank Mr. Chandler for all of his hard work over the years. We hope you enjoy your retirement!

**REMINDER OF CHILD FIND SCREENING**
Henry’s Fork Elementary will be conducting Preschool Child Find screenings on the south end of the district for children 3 to 5 years of age suspected of having a disability and/or developmental delay related to autism, deafness, motor skills, learning, speech, language, cognition, visual or hearing impairment, and/or other disability which may be impacting your child’s typical development. The screenings will be held between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Monday, August 19th, and Wednesday, August 21st at Henry’s Fork Elementary. Please call Martha Weatherford at 208-624-7422 to schedule an appointment. Please note that if your child is already enrolled in our preschool program or appears to be functioning and/or developing at a typical rate, they do not need to be screened.

Just a friendly reminder that Back to School Night will be held tomorrow night from 5:30 to 7:00 at Henry's Fork Elementary. If you have any extra school supplies that you could donate to families in need we will be collecting them during this time.
